I want to thank the couple for the open bar, without which this speech would be considerably more nervous and considerably less confident.

People ask when I knew. The truth is undramatic: it was a Tuesday, nothing special, and I looked over at Jordan and thought, oh — there you are. I'd like every ordinary Tuesday from here to be with you.

Now, believe it or not, that disaster actually brings me to something lovely.

Jordan told me love was about finding someone you can be yourself around. Jordan, we are all so sorry.

What strikes me most about Jordan and Jordan is how much more themselves they each became once they found each other.

Here's to Jordan and Jordan — may you never go to bed angry, mostly because you'll be too busy staying up to finish the leftover cake. Cheers.

Standing up here, I keep thinking about how far Jordan has come to arrive at this exact, perfect moment.
